Bromley High Street is home to the Glades shopping centre and high street shops, the Churchill Theatre and House Gardens. There are local buses from the hotel right into Bromley High Street.

Croydon High Street has two indoor shopping centres; Whitgift and Centrale. It also has a huge highstreet and Purley Way Retail Park just a tram ride away. You can catch the tram from near the hotel into Croydon.


Parks

Crystal Palace Park is filled with history. Home to the Great Exhibition of 1851 and the famous dinosaur exhibits. There is a children's farm, boating lake and maze. The original Crystal Palace burnt down in 1936, but the remains can still be explored. Local buses run to Crystal Palace.

Kelsey Park has more than 30 hectares of natural woodland and lakes. You can catch a bus from Beckenham High Street.

South Norwood Country Park is just down the road and great for relaxing stroll or cycle. The park is home to an abundance of wildlife, offering a mix of countryside and parkland and a large duck pond. There are fantastic viewing opportunities towards the rear of the park where you can see the Docklands skyscrapers. It also has a small pitch and putt golf course.


Chislehurst Caves make a great day out. There are over 20 miles of passageways in beautifully atmospheric and creepy man-made caves, which were excavated by the Saxons, Druids and Romans. The caves have more recently been used as aid raid shelters in the Second World War. The caves are great value for money, filled with history and thrilling stories. The caves are accessible by bus from Bromley.


Beckenham Spa won the title 'Best Public Swimming Pool in the UK'. The Spa has a two swimming pools, gym, health suite, multi-purpose sports hall, dance studio, squash courts, children's crèche and meeting room


Greenwich is a popular destination for tourist wanting to see historical London.
The Royal observatory, the park, the Cutty Sark, the national Maritime Museum and the Sunday Markets and shops make this a nice day out. Grenwich is easily accessible by train.You can also get boat trips along the Thames from here.
