By Road:
From the south coast ferries or channel tunnel take the M20 to M25 and take junction 4 off of M25 onto A21 to Bromley/ Orpington. From Bromley take A205 to Beckenham and follow the Beckenham Road to Penge.Turn left into Croydon Road A213 straight on over traffic lights, Fairfield is down on the right hand side of the road. From the West of North of England and do not wish to travel through London then get onto the M25 trvelling towards Gatwick and Dartford come off at junction 4 and follow as above.

Public Transport:
There is plenty of local public transport. Trains from Birkbeck run regually to London Bridge. The Tramlink will take you to Croydon and Wimbledon. From East Croydon there are trains to Gatwick, Clapham Junction, London Victoria and so on.
